Reflection - Business Ethics

Teacher Blog Reflection Business Ethics: 
  1. Discuss what you learned by listening to the various presentations on Business Ethics. 
  2. Did you notice any patterns as far as management/company behavior with regard to Business Ethics?
  3. Did you notice any patterns as far as employee behavior?
  4. Add any additional thoughts you may have.

  1. 1. I learned abiout many different cases and what is eithical and not ethical when it comes to leagal asspects.
    2. All the cases that were not ethical, was where the company did something wrong.
    3. Not really, but when the employee did something illegal, he or she had a pounishment.
    4. I think that this project was a good idea and it helped alot of us learn about buisness ethics.

  2. 1. I learned a lot about different cases, but a lot of the cases were the same so i didn't learn as much as i thought i would.
    2. The business kind of got lazy with things and let some not so smart stuff just slip by and that cost them a lot of money.
    3.they all acted the same, careless.
    4.I didn't like how we had to do two research projects. but i do have to admit i did learn a lot.

  4. I learned about how ethics is legal or illegal in some cases.
    Some of them had a little flaw and didnt fix it and that caused a big problem.

    I think the project was useful when it comes to ethics and it helped us think about what it really is.

  5. 1. I learned that there are many different cases in todays society. Also I learned the different ways people resolve their cases based on their ethics.
    2. In most cases, the company broke their rule of ethics.
    3. The people were making up excuses to why they went against their ethics. They were putting people in harms way to make extrs money.
    4. This made me realize that there are plenty of bussinesses out their that are willing to harm people just to make extra money.

  6. 1. I learned that you can never trust a business, even if they're well known
    2. The businesses tried to cover it up, as if it was nothing
    3. Most of them made a mistake in their job
    4. This project taught me that people will make mistakes and that some mistakes will get you in a lot of trouble because when your a kid, if you make a mistake, sometimes you don't really get in trouble, when you're an adult and you make a mistake, you can get into some serious trouble

    2. Most companies had broke the law in there case
    3. Ususally the employee want foloowing the rules or intoxicated

  8. 1.I learned about many ethical and un-ethical cases and whether they were legal or illegal.
    2.I noticed that the companies’ decision was based on money and what would give them the most benefit.
    3.I didn’t really notice any patterns as far as employee behavior other than they eventually got punished for their behavior.
    4.This project helped me learn more about business ethics and helped my research skills.

    2. A lot of buisnesses were simply lazy and it caused a lot of issues.
    3. Usually the employees did not follow the rules.
    4. Buisnesses have different ideas of what is ethical and unethical.

  11. 1. I learned that buisinesses do not always work ethithically.
    2. Most cases were not eithical and the buisinesses only seemed to want money.
    3. The employees were careless and only wanted the money and did not be helpful for the most part.
    4. It is important to know that not all buisinesses are efficient.

    2.) They punished workers, but not severely.
    3.) Workers didn't do things on purpose, but could be careless at times.
    4.) It taught me a lot about being ethical in business.
